Welcome to Isla Dragonera!

Isn't he gorgeous, the "Sleeping Dragon"? Would you like to see him once awake? No problem - but it is a bit smaller, there are thousands of them, they are fairly quick and also very hungry for fruits.

Mallorca's little sister "Dragonera" is adorned with many small lizards (Podarcis lilfordi), a subspecies of the Balearic lizard. They are trusting and when you make a rest and unwrap your food, they come crawling and even want to participate in the picnic. They were finally home there before the arrival of the humans.

Beside the lizards there are still hawks and various seabirds, who call the Isla Dragonera their home. But the best way is, to visit the Dragonera Island yourself and discover for example the caves that served as hiding places for the pirates and later for the sea smugglers. The island is also a popular hiking destination.
